Pakistan Peoples Party is very proud to have hard working people in its line of achievements for the sake of ordinary people of Pakistan. Khawaja Mohammad Farooq elected councilor) has been and remains a valuable asset to the Party.
Historically, Kashmir Colony located in Gujranwala Cantonment board, Rahwali was allocated to the refugees of kashmir deprived of their homes and land in India.
It was in late eighties and early nineties when M. Khawaja Mohammad Farooq kashmir colony Gujranwala cantt on completion of his education took over the role of improvement of the area as an elected councilor. It is very clear of his hectic efforts, day and night strong belief he managed to build a strong community by uniting the different party leaders and put the area on development track.
Being a councilor of kashmir Colony Rahwali Cantt, Mr khawaja Mohammad Farooq (councilor )managed to provide electricity not for his colony only but the neighboring settlements too. The electricity supply was directly from the army grids that did not had load shedding as regular it occurs in Pakistan usually. Sui Northern Gas was another great achievement to the area which Mr Khawaja Mohammad Farooq laid the foundations to the entire area of kashmiri settlements.
The people of Kashmir colony are thankful to Mr Khawaja Mohammad Farooq who opened a girls college in the colony where young women were able to have access to education without any fears or restrictions as the country is known fordue to strict religious beliefs. The whole colony was circuited by proper sever system to avoid any floods and consumed water drainage. Today the whole Kashmir Colony enjoys the modern life style, each and every corner you visit in the colony their are proper roads laid and no streets persist any longer.
Tanga was one of the most common professions of the residents, which he approached the officials of the government of Pakistan to support and ultimately succeeded to pursue and provide them with replacement jobs like Vans, rikshaws and ching chis.
We strongly condemn any unnecessary change in the schedule of continuing development of Kashmir Colony. And we promise, we will not rest till the responsible are brought to justice.
