SWEET POTATO

Sweet potato is a root vegetable and is one of the most healthiest and nutritious vegetable.Its sweet taste is unique comparing to the other vegetables.Many dishes are prepared using this amazing vegetable E.g. Cakes,Salads,Casseroles,etc.But the most common way of eating it is Steaming/Baking it.I prefer it Baked.And that is what I will be sharing with you guys:)





Preheat oven to 250 C.Wash the Sweet Potatoes to get rid of the mud.



Cut a rectangle piece of aluminium foil fit enough to wrap the sweet potato completely.Prick potato with a fork all over.










Wrap the potatoes in the foil.Make sure no gaps are there.Place them on a baking tray.



Bake for 1 hour.Turn over the potatoes after 30 mins to ensure it bakes evenly.Insert a knife or skewer to check if its soft and done.If it still feels a bit hard,Bake it for a few more minutes.



Becareful when removing the foil.There will be steam inside,which can burn your hands.Or you can simply cut it in half.

 

You can also microwave it. Do not wrap them in foil. Just microwave for 7-10 mins on either side and its done.Hope that u enjoy baking the sweet potatoes. Let me know how it turned out :)
