ALU METHI (POTATO WITH FENUGREEK LEAVES)



Hello Everyone.Today I will share with u all my secret recipe of ALU METHI and I am sure that u will find this fabulously yummy and u wont be able to resist urself from having sum more of it.And not to forget,ur family members will be impressed also.(Recipe by Noreen Pervaiz)



Chop 4 bunches of Methi (Fenugreek Leaves).Wash and drain.


Chop 1/4 kg Potatoes into medium chunks.


Thinly slice 1 Onion and fry till soft and translucent.Add 2 cloves of Garlic,chopped, 2 tomatoes chopped,5-6 green chillies (slitted),1/4 tsp turmeric,salt as per taste, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder.Add the methi with the spices.


Add the Methi and stir for 2-3 mins and add 1/2 cup water.Cook for 5 mins.Add the potatoes and cook on low flame.


When the potatoes are half done and the tomatoes cannot be seen,(at this stage if u want,remove the slitted green chillies),add 4 tbsp of yoghurt and stir in quickly so that it does'nt curdle.Sprinkle a pinch of Garam Masala and cook on low flame till potatoes are fully cooked and oil separates.Everything is well combined.


Serve Immediately with Roti or Boiled Rice.
